The June Ball was amasing. Students decorated college in a paris theme. Everything was very beautiful. I have made a photo with all of my favourite teachers. The food was very tasty and there was a wide range of variety.  A lot of students were performing and after that we had a disco . Everyone dressed beautiful. This was my second Ball at Bellerbys College and they both were great and so different.

X-men: First Class

Recently there was a premier in the Odeon cinema of the film called X-men First Class. I love all the episodes of this film. Since my childhood I was watching the x-men cartoons, so I know the story very well. I watched it this week and I liked it very much. The story is about the early beginning of two main heros and how they found other mutants to join in a group.

Last term overview

The last term started in 18th of April, however due to the illness I missed my first week at college. This term I am studying only three subjects that are F.E.S. 3, C.I.T. and Business Studies 2.  While I have been spending holidays in my home country I thought that the last term will be the easiest for me, however I faced a lot of challenges during the last weeks of the term. I had some difficulties because these three subjects are different from each other and we had to do a lot of work. At the lesson of English we were given the course work for the whole term in which I have enclosed many forces. Also thanks to debates on English lessons, I have approached with my classmates and have developed the social and cooperative skills. However, I found the FES Essay very difficult because we were given a short time to do it and we needed to choose the academic topic and make a presentation on it. Turning to the Business subject, we have passed through many case studies which have helped me to understand all modules of the subject. Also we have watched various films about different methods of manufacturing and production which I have found very useful and interesting. Afterwards, we had tests with short questions but some of them were difficult. At the lessons of CIT I have learned how to use various toolbars in the majority of Microsoft Office programs that I didn’t know earlier. Also thanks to presentation, I have overcome in myself fear and have developed oratorical skills and now I can be confident to do other presentations. Previously I used the computer only to type a text or access to the internet, therefore in the beginning it was a little bit hard for me to cope with some tasks. I wouldn’t manage to pass through it all if I haven’t put to it enough effort. All our teachers helped and guided me through the whole term. Now in the end of this term I understand that work with a class is hard work. I have changed my point of view about debate because earlier I thought that debate cannot solve the root of the problem. But now I know that at the end of the debates you eventually come to a certain opinion and make from this conclusion. I consider that all these subjects are very useful and now I can use all the knowledge in my further education and future life. By the end of this term, I am going to have two exams which are Business Studies 2 and Accounting. Also in the following week we will be given the certificates of graduating Bellerbys College. I am very excited about the June ball which will be held in 3rd of June and I think it is great that all our teachers and students will gather together in this evening. Eventually I have built good relationships with my classmates as we coped with all tasks together during the whole year. Furthermore, teachers at Bellerbys were very kind to me and thanks to their hard work I have learnt all material and have coped with the program. In addition, Bellerbys gave me unforgettable impression. I can say that I have spent here useful and interesting time. Unfortunately, at this term time passed very quickly and this is the last year atBellerbysCollege. However, I will never forget my life experience at this College.

CIT

This term I am studying the CIT lesson which I thought will be simple and easy to do. However, as I previously used computer only to use the internet and write essay on Microsoft Word, I found quite hard to do some exercises. All the tasks were very interesting and I have learnt how to use Microsoft Power Point when we were doing our presentations. Also, I have learnt how to create slide and put there information or insert pictures. I used animations and slide design. Moreover, due to the different tasks on Excel I am able to do some statistics there and create tables. I find the CIT lesson as very useful because in the following 3 or 4 years at the university students will certainly need to be able to do tasks like this.

FES

During all terms I had my FES lessons where I learnt how to write summaries, essays and other tasks. In the end of the first term I had my exam on FES 1 which was similar to the Ielts exam as we had reading, writing and listening modules. In the following terms we had a lot of tests and Ielts practicing that contained speaking as well. During that period of time I have learnt paraphrasing and a lot of English words that I am going to use afterwards. FES lessons gave me opportunity to improve my language and be able to do all the tasks. In the last term we have harder tasks like presentation of the topic and essay on 1500 words. In addition to that, we have debating practices where we can state our own opinion and listen to others. I am going to have my Ielts exam during this term which will show how I developed my language. Finally, in the beginning of the course I thought that students do not need an English lesson as they already have all lessons on English. Now I understand that I was wrong as due to this lessons I am more confident in myself when I speak in English and my vocabulary improved as well.

Main subject heart of the course

Since childhood I was interested in Maths, languages and Economics. Therefore, when I decided which course to take I was 100 % sure that I need to take a programme that will contain all this subjects, which is business course. I want to become a successful manager and I am glad that in this course I can study variety of lessons such as accounting, economics, mathematics, business, English and C.I.T. The most favorite of them that I can call a heart of my course is business studies. I find this subject very interesting as it learns about the market and covers areas like operation, strategy, customers, accountancy, economics, finance, information technology and organizational studies. This course gives me opportunity to study business studies and economics in two terms. Hopefully, next year I am going to enter City University to study in the management faculty and I hope that the knowledge that I received in college will make my student life easier. This subject is very important for me because it gives me a broad overview of how the commercial world operates. Moreover, after finishing my management faculty I will be able to work in a wide range of areas.

The difference between Kazakhstan and UK homeworks

In contrast toUK,Kazakhstanhas 5 ball estimate system. However, in my home country students do not have 0 or 1, therefore, the lowest score is 2.  Also, in comparison toUK, where teachers give tasks for a whole week, inKazakhstanstudents are given a home work every day but in a shorter size. In both countries student can give homework after the deadline very rarely. InKazakhstan, students are not allowed to use a proof-reader in their homework, otherwise they might lose their marks. UnlikeKazakhstan, where students are allowed to write their homework on the same notebook where is written their class work, inUKstudents must do their tasks on a separate paper. Both countries record all the homework results in the report which then is shown to parents. Students fromKazakhstanhave a few or no essay tasks which is very common in theUK.

First impression of my first week last term

Due to the serious reason I have missed my first week of last term and thanks to my teachers and classmates I have quickly entered into the working process. Our term will finish on 17th of June, although we will be free after the last exam which is on 8th of June. Unfortunately, I need to retake accounting exam to enter the City University which is my firm choice. I will take it after all course works, presentations and tests in June. This term is going to be very busy for me as I am taking Ielts exam, essay on 1500 words and 2 presentations. Time passes very quickly and I need to start to work hardly despite the good weather that attracts to go outside. Moreover, all students and teachers are going to have May Ball which was moved to 3rd of June and can be called “June Ball”. Finally, by the end of this term we will receive our graduate certificates.
